06 Pete Daycab w/ C13 10 speed - Weak engine breaking or is is normal?

    Coming down Tiger Mountain Summit in Washington, a moderately steep grade up and down.

    Loaded grossing 80k. 6'th gear won't hold with the engine brake on it's highest setting. Have to drop it into low range to not have to use service brake.

    I came from a 2022 Volvo which apparently has a really nice engine brake as I could maintain 45mph using engine brake only with that truck, similarly loaded.

    '07 T800 dump truck. 4.10's, 8LL, C13. I like the engine, but I'd say the weak engine brake is probably normal. Mine is also weak.

    The C13 is going to have a weaker jake compared to that new volvo. that being said it could also help having the overhead ran to make sure everything there is in adjustment.
