One violation does not affect you. Weather is that or your tire pressure too low. It does not mean you’re a bad driver. But if you keep going on and getting violations that will affect you negatively, not just a few violations but a lot.

The biggest problem we see with loose fasteners that have been “torqued to spec” is either the studs were stretched or the nut washers were crushed or the treads were boogered prior to torquing them correctly due to the “ugga dugga” over torque method. How many guys have you seen buff the corrosion off the mating surfaces on the wheel ends and oil the stud treads and the crush area between the nut head and its washer? Also some of those hub pilot nuts are torque to yield and will say on the top end of them do not reuse or replace with each use. But since that is an extra cost for them or the truck owner. Most guys in the biz don’t even pay attention to those details.
