Pulled into shipper at 9:28. Was driving out by 10:47am. My fat ### is getting fast. Also mad props to this shipper for having shade to tarp. It was 96 degrees and high humidity. Even better, the load I delivered had free wood. I scored 6 oak 4x6” and it felt like winning the lottery.

Still waiting on a callback to see if Bessie Mae needs a head or a new crate motor.

I had grand plans for this white unit Lisa Ann. This morning I was thinking maybe clean her up and get rid of her, go buy a brand new unit @Cat sdp got me thinking about it the other day, & my current residency in this state means I will have to buy a brandy new one to keep trucking here: they’re gonna pass a mirror image of cali’s carb plan apparently.

Cali’s carb program is a great example of BS.
It has so many exemptions. It was and is all about the money. The state and the agency have been involved in so many lawsuits over this.
Get in touch with your local trucking association, help them put pressure on the politicians.

I don’t know that I want to continue on trucking if I have to buy brand new just to keep doing it, honestly.
I have made money, I have made some good memories, I have made some good friends. I do not expect that spending $300k on a new truck is going to increase my satisfaction level on any of those fronts.

    I like 900L’s & I don’t think that’s likely to change.

It's absolutely absurd what the prices on new trucks are. I'm glad I got my order in and price locked at the end of 2021. By the time it was delivered 6 months later the prices were up 20-40K and now a little short of 2 years later prices are about 50-75K higher.

My max option 4 axle was 215K out the door in 2021.

I see W900 and 389 with half ### heavy specs and minimal options getting listed for 285-300K constantly. I'm not sure who the hell is buying those.

We're in the process of replacing one of our straight trucks. 2024 WS 47X with like no options and no bed is still looking to be almost 200K. We're putting a used bed on it from the truck it's replacing because an equally strong bed would probably cost another 50K.

Between the insane equipment prices and every retard and their dog running OS/OD rates into the ground I'm about to just go buy a pickup and start piloting make #### near as much money and avoid all the BS rules.
