Was watching a video where a guy dipped 3 identical carbs: one in Simple Green, one in Mean Green and one in Purple Power. Seemed like the Simple Green did the best job. One of the other 2, I think it was Purple Power, started blackening the aluminum.

 

Like I tell folks that see the wildlife here- you can't really call it hunting when you step out and whack them on the noggin with the toaster.

Let me give you an education from experience young man…!!!!

I rode this bike to R&L Drilling quite often and locked it in the shop when out on the road.

It’s all aluminum that’s a chore to keep polished!

I came in early on a Thursday and decided to wash it before going out. Only thing we had at the shop was purple power, figured I’d try it and see how it cleaned.

Lord have mercy…!!!! Cam cover, primary cover, rocker boxes, all turned a light charcoal color, I was madder than 3 kinds of dog gonnit then.

Ended up going home and spent the night polishing instead of messing with some split tail I’d been messing with.

Purple power sucks for polished aluminum. But now simple green, no issues at all, just mix it 50/50 with water don’t use it straight….

I could write a book now on how sideways this deal on the '05 T800 has gone. But nobody would believe it.

 

Hopefully that's coming out of recoil. Otherwise, you're a tad low and a smidge to the left (depending on cross drift, of course).
