Electronic Logs

Hello again.
I’m scheduled to do an out and back run from illinois to south East Tennessee. My truck doesn’t have an electronic log. We do this load once a month. Am I required to use an ELD or can I use a paper log? I’m just curious if they’re going to install and ELD before them but don’t want to bother them before the week starts and am curious now.

2017 I believe. Just started with the company, I was totally local before this. I’ll be doing one out and back run with the new company a week. Maybe less.

 

I’m sure they will, they’ve just had me local my first couple weeks. I was just curious if I had to have one. I appreciate the answer.

 

I’d do that run monthly. But similar ones weekly.

 

Yes. I would be, with the occasional out and back up to 1 weekly is what they told me. But from what I’m noticing they share those 4-5 runs between the 5 drivers.
