My question to the truckers out there is I have 3.90 rears .285/75 22.5 tires wanting to go to 11R22.5 .how much of a drop in gear will this give me.looking for better fuel mileage.currently getting 6 mpg.s. I do have 11R 22.5 on the front.12.7 Detroit 60 series

The fronts won't matter since they have no ties to the power train.

Have you verified your odometer accuracy to a GPS app? Your odometer and speedo might be reading a little higher then GPS. Causing you to rack up more miles then actual.

I could be wrong but the truck may have originally came with hi pros. Instead of low pros.

Only time I've seen low pros is on drop axles.

Others may have seen different though.

What’s the door tag say? I’d be surprised if someone geared the truck that short on low pros and not 11 or 12 22.5s but people do weird sht sometimes, 3.90s are about perfect with 11 24.5s though and a rtlo trans
