I went to trucking school, got my cdl with an automatic restriction, got hired by werner but got fired because during training I fell asleep for one second at the wheel (my head tilted back) while my trainer was right next to me.
I tried to let my trainer know but he was asleep earlier before that. Regardless, I got fired or "let go" and I don't know how severe this is.
Any chance of me getting another job?
I know there are a lot of things I should or could have done but I didn't do em and now I am where I am at. I want to drive a truck because I don't have many other options, I'm not really a people person.
Chance of getting hired? Thoughts?

Frame the dismissal as "I was unable to get adequate rest in the moving truck". Werener can only say the fired you and are ineligible for rehire, they can't go I to detail.
Now I'm going to be mean. I'm not trying to be rude, but I don't have the energy to craft a gentle, loving rebuke. If you take it in the spirit that it's given, you have a chance in life. If you crumble like my last attempt at soufflé. . .
First things first YOU are responsible for YOU. You MUST do what YOU need to do to be prepared to run a full day. That means 10 hours of driving. Get your sleep at night, eat properly, take breaks, shower, wear clean clothes. Do NOT rely on sugar/caffeine for alertness - drink water, eat crunchy things like apples and carrots.
Your trainer is NOT a mind reader. You must speak up about your abilities and fatigue. You MUST make yourself be understood. If you are not communicating YOUR needs, the trainer (and later dispatch) cannot make accommodations. Speak clearly and EARLY. it's not about what's happening, it's about what WILL be happening.
Plan each leg of your trip - how far you will go and where you will stop. Even if you feel "good", don't push beyond the planned stop. Get out, walk around, and stay focused.
You've accepted responsibility (sorta). The question is are you willing to force yourself to grow? The specific action which led to your firing isn't the issue - it's all the underlying CHOICES you're making and the identity you are projecting onto yourself.
I wish you the best.Gearjammin' Penguin, Stonehjl, Kyle G. and 5 others Thank this. -
Why does Werner say you were fired?
If Werner says you fell asleep while driving, that's a big problem.
What does your DAC report have, if anything?
If you tell a company you fell asleep or nodded off while driving, the company won't hire you.tscottme Thanks this. -

If a new company asked why you were "let go" say all you were told was that you broke company policy and weren't given any real reason other than that.
