I don't even blame the oil companies. They only have an average profit margin of 7.6%. (source) Sure the profit number is high but the margins are low, really low. I don't know about you but I'm not operating on a 8% margin but apparently Jsnap and bigdaddyo are that's why they need to cheat in order to win. Nobody likes paying high prices for fuel but companies like Exxon only actually pump a VERY small percentage of the oil they refine, the rest they buy off the market. However everyone needs someone to blame and their an easy target. Politicians and truck drivers never like facts to get in the way of their opinions. If the politicians really wanted to lower the price of fuel they could cut the taxes and allow US companies to drill, period. But blaming others is SOOO much easier.

As far as cheating to win, you guys (Jsnap and Bigdaddyo) go right ahead. But just man up when you get caught, and don't blame someone else when you lose. Some of us can play by the rules and still come out on top most of the time, if you can't then GET OUT and stop screwing everyone else.

 

Ok so here is the question. Your filtering fuel to get the color out, but what about the properties of the dye? Yes the dye adds pink / red to the fuel. Yet it adds something that flouresces. Meaning they (DOT) can do a simple check and look for a color to show in the fuel. If that fuel is filtered and you remove the flouresce item what in GOD's name do you think you have done?

Think that you have pulled the wool over DOT? Dont think so. What I do see you doing is $5000 worth of work that you wont get paid for that WILL leave you liable (because you seem too willing to keep the results to yourself so your going to share) when you try to "help" another trucker. No thankyou! Take your snake oil charming elsewhere. There are legal operators here! We dont need people trying to give us a black eye becuase you dont want to be legal.

 

Gasoline and propane are actually a byproduct from distilling diesel. There is more diesel than there is gasoline. The reason that the cost is lower on gasoline is there is a lesser demand for gasoline than diesel. If all the diesel burning engines out there had a alternative that was cheaper to purchase than diesel, the price on diesel would plummet.

Fuel Production Costs 30%
Petrol Station 2%
Government Taxation 68%
