I am currently at Air Products and it’s laid back here also. Just follow the safety rules and you’ll never hear anything from management.

THANK YOU -- for those last 3 posts.

It's refreshing to learn that the nazi gestapo safety mentality doesn't exist everywhere at the cryo private carriers.

I'm going to be starting with them on the 2nd. Will be making a thread about it. Because cryo company that trains with no driver facing cameras. Also under 50 trucks sounds too good to be true. But I shall see. Since they also have heavy hauling I have no idea if the low rating Google reviews are for cryo or not. Well there is one saying they was sent home for being fat

Looking forward to your experiences with them. They are like Reed Hurst in Cryo, you see the ads and such, but cant find anyone that has actually worked for them. SP has newer cryo equipment which should be interesting. My only experience was with Lindes 30+ year old CO2 trailers.

30 years old... Take a gander at this bad girl from the 70s. All original. Saw an outside carrier picking it up from our depot a few weeks back, hopefully due for a rehab

All what I know of so far. They don't have a recruiter per say. The guy I talked to was a fleet manager. All drivers have the customer dispatch them. Orientation is with PGT drivers. So your a tanker driver with flatbedders. They refund if you get a twic card. You might be pulling customers trailers or companies trailers. That's all I know from talking with the guy at Southern Pines.
One thing that worries me a tad. The $6k sign on bonus. Because it seems a tad high. Are they really needing drivers to offer that much? Or just that generous -
The bonus is normal. It was 5k at my barn and most of the ads in my area are around 5k-10k. So they are just like Reed Hurst, they pull customer trailers, where they are mostly third party pulling customer trailers. Makes you wonder why not go work for the customer. Hurst in Cortex was nothing but linde and I saw Linde trailers in Pocatello yard. So I went to work for Linde. But yeah, Flatbedding and Oversize are their bread and butter for sure.
-
I remembered wrong. Our trailers were from the 70's too. One was my age..... But they really were not bad for their age. That was jealousy talking from seeing the newer ones at other yards lol
-
That’s because cryo vessels are expensive and they are able to replace everything else on the trailer cheaper and easier. We had our entire fleet of trailers shipped out of state in California. Replaced by all hydraulic units do to CARB requirements the cost was crazy.Last edited: Sep 21, 2023
