My instructor says that I should hit them. Like you said, less damage to the truck and you. He says the same thing about animals.
We've had Schneider, Werner, Prime, Roehl, and Swift come in.
I plan to work with some people I know, so I can get the experience.
I want to be an O/O and they are willing to help me as long as I'm serious about it.

Walter T Thanks this.

I was supposed to take my CDL Exam on Monday, but the State Examiner didn't show up to the school.
Next Monday should be the charm. -
Passed 3/3. Pre-Trip, Skills, & Road!
I have HazMat, Doubles/Triples, Tanker Endorsements and the TWIC.
All in all, the experience at Progressive was positive. A solid "A".
Now I need to find a job.
This forum has been a wealth of information. -
Hey Walter, I was able to get that special too. I finished with Progressive earlier this month and got my CDL with all endorsements last Monday. Now I'm looking for work. I'm willing to buy a truck but can't find a company that would hire me, so now I'm thinking Swift or Schneider...
How about you??? What are you up to now??? -
I'm thinking about going to Progressive or Juarez driving school in Chicago.
How was Progressive ?
How were the instructors ?
How many students per truck/instructor ?
How was the state instructor ?
Did you go to the location on S. Cicero Ave ?
You registered to Progressive in the beginning of December, when did you start classes ? How many days a week ? Are they flexible with scheduling ?
Thanks -
I've already talked to Progressive in Cicero and they seem really good (even the guy who was just standing outside was really friendly when I came walking up) Talk to Barbara over there, she is no-nonsense and won't steer you wrong! (pun intended)
If my WIA funding comes through as anticipated, I hope to be going there within the next couple of weeks.
As for their classes, they "start" classes every Monday, for new students and it's broken down in segments. 8a-12p, 12p-4p Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri and Sat (they do testing on Thu) They also have "night" classes on Mon and Wed that are 4p-8p.
Since I'll be taking the 240 hr course, theoretically this should take 6 weeks, but only if I attend from 8a-8p on those Mon & Wed that precede my Sat with my kids...Very Excited! Comeback?
ETA: Just noticed when you posted...Nevermind.
