Upcoming UAW Strike

Not in this thread. Just reading through the comments on various articles.

 

I'm just going to buy $500 #### boxes from now on. If it lasts a month its cheaper than a payment. Nothing built by any manufacturer the last few years really excites me anyways.

 

I'm like you , I bought a nice low mile 2013 silverado about 6 months before the covid hit for 17k and it only comes out of the garage on nice days when the roads are dry .
Last year I got lucky and grabbed up a 95 silverado for a work truck for 1200.00 , it's not pretty but runs perfect and everything works .
Mama's newer Volkswagen suv got bought cheap with 40k on the clock .
The big 3 and the uaw can kiss my aching arse cause at age 60 I'm done buying new cars ....go right ahead and strike! Right along with their greedy employers .

 

First person that understands this on the internet! I agree and have been saying the same thing forever. Know your true worth to the company before running off at the mouth!

 

We bailed out gm and chrysler and when times got tough they shoved it right up our arse ...they can go broke for what I care .

 

Since when does the government get to pick and choose who sticks around? We bailed gm out and they went bankrupt anyway.Why didn't we bail out YRC? Maybe management was a little too tight with political funding?

 

They already did once and yellow blew the money

 

Today at noon is deadline for more striking. AKA 2nd line in sand a little farther back...... brings to mind Foghorn Leghorn and Dog cartoon
