I’ve been away for awhile. I used to log in and read this forum almost on a daily basis from about 2010 to about 2020. I use to drive for CFI back when it was Conway Truckload. These threads were all pretty busy with all kinds of daily input.

Not anymore… there’s been no activity now for several years, really.

    Where did everybody go?

Also, I’m kind of an old guy now, but I always thought of myself as being up with the times, including all the internet electronic nonsense. I guess maybe I was mistaken since I feel sort of been left behind…. is everybody moving away from this forum and communicating by some other type of social media?

Move to Las Vegas. You won't be lost here; you'll fit right in; most people here are fumbling around.

Thanks China, but I did live in Vegas for 16 years, moved away in 2013 after housing got completely destroyed along with the local economy. I lived up on Charleston and Hollywood. I worked on most of the casinos as a construction painter; my claim to fame is that I stood on a 400 foot ledge on top of the Bellagio ad I used a 6 foot spray wand from the bottom up and I sprayed that entire round, rotunda at the top of Bellagio back in April of 1997. Work was great the but then the bottom fell out about 2000, then 2001, then fell apart with no work for anyone by about early 2002: Poof! No more. Things were so bad back then that I had to declare bankruptcy and I had to short sale my house. I even worked on your community back when I worked for KB Homes as a supervisor back in 2002 on Chinatown St. My office was a construction trailer butt up to Lone Mountain. I’d had enough and moved east, which I’ve regretted ever since, but I will say that economically wise, I have recovered better that I could have imagined. Still, I may return…. For me, the east sucks and I really miss the desert.

I'm in Seven Hills, Henderson. I love it in Southern Nevada. I don't care for the East either, except Florida. I love Florida and that's the only state that interests me other than Southern Nevada. Born & raised in Tennessee.

Here's the new MSG Sphere. Was finished after you moved. You probably know about it. Changes colors and designs every half hour or so. I can see it from my living room window. Right now it's red.

Texas is good also. I considered Texas also, but settled in Nevada.
We spent lots of time researching homes, apts., condos online in Texas and Nevada.

We all quit and do other stuff now.

I still dig trucks I just don't want to live IMG_20231008_010041589.jpg my life in one. I took a blurry pic of the Notre Dame equipment hauler on its ride of shame home. Very pretty trailer. The truck was the color of the helmets and didn't have any markings on the truck. Guess you wouldn't need all stuff being not for hire and all.
