I'll be honest, I don't know their DUI policies, all I can say is look in to their website, www.pritchetttrucking.com and that should answer your questions, it's kind of vague but would probably answer those questions. Being in Jax, if you're looking for local you'd probably get on trash, or chips, I live in Tally and haul trash and sewage over here, it's steady but there are a lot of hours involved, it's definately not cake work, get up early and get home late, but our equipment over here is new because we're so far out from lake butler that it's hard for us to get over there for maintenance. Anyhow, check it out and see what you can find out, I'm happy with them, but that's not to guarantee that everyone will be happy.

I posted a month or so ago singing my praises of Pritchett Trucking out of Lake Butler, Fl, but being they're on the smaller side of companies it kind of died off quickly, some of you floridians are familiar with them, and I am very happy with them, just wondering where my fellow Florida brothers and sisters are employed these days, and are you happy where you're at?

Well I'm not sure why my post got moved here, I was interested to see who else in Florida was happy with their job, now I just got home and see they moved it here, what can you do? I wouldn't have much to post concerning my job, I pick up at the same place and empty out in the same place on a daily basis. If I haul trash I do 3 loads a day, 530 miles, and if I'm hauling bio-solid, which is mostly what I do any more, I do 2 loads for a total of about 360 milers per day. Bio-solid pays 65 per load, and trash pays 50, you can do the math on that, plus we get weekly revenue bonuses of 50 bucks, so we average 750-800 weekly gross, which isn't too shabby for Florida, or anywhere in my book, these days.

Patco, Margie Wood, Bellview Trans., Tampa Truck Lines, Diamond C transportation, Montgomery, all these companies are one in the same, which is odd. I've been told they pass you around between all of them to avoid having to pay any type of OT. Although this is an agriculture type of trucking, which can exempt certain employers from having to pay overtime, these companies are required to pay a type of "chinese OT", meaning once you hit a certain hours worked they have to start paying you by the clock, but with so many company names, they can bounce you over to another payroll once those hours are met. Now I have not experienced this, but have heard the rumors from "their" drivers, so take it as you will. I do know they have contract work going on in Louisianna, that's why there's such a need for drivers, they'll put you up out there for a month or so at a time then allow you to come home. You do the same type of local work out there that you would do in Ocala, or wherever else, if you search in Louis. on craigslist, you'll find their adds out there. Sorry for the longwindeness, just trying to throw out some of what I know. I personally would stay away, but I'm also not in the situation of hunting a job right now thank god.

Just an update on how things go for me over here, I'm local and run the same loads every day but I figure I'll post my weeks and earnings every now and then. 13 loads of "poo", tallahassee florida to campbellton florida, 92 miles one way, total gross pay was 895.00 with a take home of right at 754.00, that's home every night, roughly 60 hours a week, and in Florida none the less. If you're going to break down my pay to my hours, leave it be, I'm paid by the load and my only concern is the consistancy of my paychecks, which Pritchett is excellent about, I make my money every week, there's weeks where i put in well over 70 hours but at the end of the day my bills are paid, my wifes taken care of, and life is good. All that matters...............
