The above posts...& the included discourse....is EXACTLY WHY I used that part/piece as an example earlier here in this thread.

It certainly didn't specify no driver unload.

 

By making it rigid enough to hold its shape rather than focusing on making it as lightweight as possible, and by mounting it to a spring-loaded hinge that way it can tilt forward if it makes contact with an object while backing up.

Or, ya know, they could just stop trying to make everything on these trucks go within 2 inches of the ground.

Nonetheless, OP, I hope you land on your feet as soon as possible. Whatever occurred, just learn from. If you dropped a trailer, look at it laugh, and don't do it again.

Agree or not they’ll most likely fall out. And usually it’s the winter after some serious snow. I keep mines cause I unscrew them off at the signs of first snow then put them back in the spring. I do it cause I don’t like my truck to look raggity with some parts of the aero trim missing but I really doubt the typical drivers you find nowadays will.

 

Well, the OP seems to be resolute in being intentionally vague about her predicament, so we can only guess. I'm betting she sardine-canned a trailer on a low overpass. Prove me wrong......

 

I doubt if she could come up with anything that we haven't seen, or heard about. Or done. No reason for her not to give us all the information.
