The above posts...& the included discourse....is EXACTLY WHY I used that part/piece as an example earlier here in this thread.
It's simply ridiculous....especially from a practicality standpoint.

By making it rigid enough to hold its shape rather than focusing on making it as lightweight as possible, and by mounting it to a spring-loaded hinge that way it can tilt forward if it makes contact with an object while backing up.
Or, ya know, they could just stop trying to make everything on these trucks go within 2 inches of the ground.JoeyJunk, BennysPennys, Gearjammin' Penguin and 2 others Thank this. -
Well..... here on the trucker forum it seems like not many punches get held. That being said, when seeking direction, must heed these words of advice:
"If you're gonna tell it then you got to tell it all."

Nonetheless, OP, I hope you land on your feet as soon as possible. Whatever occurred, just learn from. If you dropped a trailer, look at it laugh, and don't do it again.austinmike, JoeyJunk and Magoo1968 Thank this. -
What happened?austinmike and JoeyJunk Thank this.

Agree or not they’ll most likely fall out. And usually it’s the winter after some serious snow. I keep mines cause I unscrew them off at the signs of first snow then put them back in the spring. I do it cause I don’t like my truck to look raggity with some parts of the aero trim missing but I really doubt the typical drivers you find nowadays will.austinmike and JoeyJunk Thank this.

We had those on the couple Turdcadias that landed in our yard. One lasted lasted until the driver got to a speed bump which took roughly an hour. Another got tore off by the shop foreman.JoeyJunk, Opus, exhausted379 and 5 others Thank this.

Well, the OP seems to be resolute in being intentionally vague about her predicament, so we can only guess. I'm betting she sardine-canned a trailer on a low overpass. Prove me wrong......
JoeyJunk Thanks this. -
I doubt if she could come up with anything that we haven't seen, or heard about. Or done. No reason for her not to give us all the information.austinmike, JoeyJunk, Opus and 1 other person Thank this.

How did you arrive at that conclusion?JoeyJunk and exhausted379 Thank this.
