cascadia antenna solution??

lemme ask you this how did you run the coax to get it in the cab and wheres your cb mounted? I have a Pete 387 with the same problem it's fully plastic

 

ok yea i was kinda studying that the other day while parked at he truck stop and thats exactly where i'm gonna run mine 30ft will be pefect i wanna stop by that cb shop the next time i get down into Ohio apparently he's preety good in there

 

That mount was designed origionally by wolcott for the T-2000, but it works on any of the newer fiberglass trucks.
There is no steel in any of them for a good reflector plane, so the most you can expect without making an artifical gound plain is about that same 5-6 miles.

 

I too drive a Cascadia and I mounted my Wilson 2000 with the short stem directly on the factory mounts, one on each side and I have a barefoot Galaxy DX 929 which easliy gets out 5-7 miles and on a real good day I have talked 10-12 miles. I do like your set up and just might give it a try to see if i get better results. Thanks for the pictures with your post

 

Here is a couple pics of my low budget solution. My only concern is if the whip is going bang on the side of cab. Also, my load lights were mounted on the inside of the fairing, so I moved them to the outside, and used 1/2 of a mirror mount to attatch it to one of the holes for the load light bracket. Will keep ya'll updated
