I've ran into that same problem over the years. Guys have told me it's against company policy to jump start a another driver....huh? What?! How would they know? Yet I've jump started dozens of folks over the years. I even jump started a lady in a 4 wheeler down in Mobile since I've been with Climate. No biggie. Folks need help sometimes. Check that alternator too, even though you're in a brand new truck, you may have gotten a rotten apple for one

I reloaded in Frankfort IN yesterday to go to Loveland, CO for tomorrow morning. I'm going to be cutting it real close on my hours today. It was a 120 mile deadhead from Fort Wayne. The appt was for 11 am, but I didn't get dispatched til 1130 am so I got held up for 4 hrs.motocross25 Thanks this.

What's the procedure with this? Wasn't there when I got to shipper yesterday. Looks like it was done while loading, but I would've thought someone loading would've done a better job of hiding it. Guy unloading here at Jung had some nervous energy to him that tells my intuition it was him. I'm not Sherlock Holmes, the equipment owner, or a forklift operator, so not my problem to solve.
Robert and Chris said "tape it and it should be fine for Midwest". I guess I'll try a roll of foil tape and hope for the best.
Sent pictures to Robert and heading to Pilot for some foil tape. Is that pretty much the procedure for this kind of thing? I guess it's not that serious for the kind of loads we run. It'd be different if it was a super high end, ice cream designed trailer running -20 most days.Attached Files:

Yeah, I've noticed alignments here are more of an in spec is good enough rather than a spot on thing here lol. I think there's a lot of money wasted on irregular wear doing things that way, but doesn't bother me if it works for them. I'll probably still swing by the shop and get their opinion. The ovals are definitely taking on a rougher texture as time goes which worries me that it'll wear substantially quicker soon, but I don't know anything about tires lol.
Ah man, they got you running hard to make up for the slow start this week. Taking a 34 while empty is always more peaceful than loaded though. Maybe I'll see ya somewhere in CObryan21384 and Professor No-Name Thank this. -
Yea tape it an go. But always take pics an submit them to safety an larry in shop. Document , document and i repeat document!!! Cover your ##***!! Especially if you discover a customer's fork operator creating the damage. I had a customer actually create a report for trailer damage. Lucky the guy fessed up to messing up the trailer. When in doubt ask someone what protocols they want covered.bryan21384, dwells40 and mdmgolfin Thank this.

Absolutely. I've heard too many stories to not document every little thing lol. That's another added benefit of this forum -- it's like a blog for things we found and when we found them. My photos on my phone are 80% pictures of BOL's, trailer damages, breakdowns, etc. I even screenshot Google maps to show my arrival at strict warehouses like Walgreens, Target, and Walmart lolProfessor No-Name and bryan21384 Thank this.

Midwest don't care. The older trailers beginning with 25.....some of them have tape all over the inside of the trailer. Those 25 series, and probably some 36 series, are just falling apart for real. Chris and Robert told you exactly what I would have done. Now if you were taking that trailer to Robinson, they might not have taken it. Other drivers have told me that they make you go to Walmart and get foil tape to cover those busted spots.Professor No-Name and Thrasher28 Thank this.

I just made it to Loveland. 1100 miles in less than 48 hrs from the time I received my bills in Frankfort. I had to drive 670 to get it here. 8 minutes left on my clock...I am beyond tired. I haven't ran that hard in quite some time now. I'm reloading milk in Platteville to bring back to Schnucks over in Kinloch. I gotta find an extra gear to make that run lol
Professor No-Name, mdmgolfin and dwells40 Thank this. -
That's rolling well, man. Those 8 minutes to spare kinda days take a toll for sure. Safe to say they made up for Monday with that kind of schedule lol. I'll wave at ya on 70 whenever I pass youProfessor No-Name Thanks this.
