You sound like you know a bit about trucks...but you don't have to use propane or nitreous to shoot fire out those pipes!!!

 

I know, it's just overfueling quenching the fire in the cylinders and engine loosing all of it's power. I have seen 1 meter flames coming out of the exhaust of L-10 race engines.
