    Yeah no salty snacks. I used to have a bag of potatoe chips handy all the time. Never eat that garbage anymore, don't miss it either. I didnt so much go into all the low sodium stuff. I just quit eating the garbage and also consume much smaller portions. When you order food at a restaurant they bring enough for two meals on one plate. A couple of years ago I could've wolfed down a huge portion like that still think I was hungry enough that I needed more. Now I enjoy my meals, eat slower, eat less and realize I get thru the day just fine without eating 2 to 3× what I really need and I'm not hungry all the time either.

    Take your meds!
    Then start on the weight.
    Exercise, walking daily works!
    I lost over 50 pounds and I am now down to only one med and working on getting rid of that one too.
    Took medications for over 20 years before I started getting serious on what I was stuffing in my mouth.
    That's when I saw the results and after all those years I don't need the Beta Blocker any longer.
    I got serious after the doc switched to a stronger Beta Blocker and doubled the dose of my ACE Inhibitor.

    fast, drink water. get the heart beat going daily. once off the road i personally lost a lot of weight i gained while being on it. Sugar drinks, and coffee. bad bad bad. rookie mistakes the first 7 years but whatever.

    Regular physical my bp is always nice, but for some reason that DOT just makes it tick a little more idk why lol.

    I've read Beet juice does wonders but I couldn't choke it down.
    If it's resistant like mine I ended up on hydro and lisinopril to get mine under control.
    Then a ton of walking to help with my weight issue.

    Weight loss is the most bang for your buck on quickly lowering blood pressure. You don't have to fill yourself to Thanksgiving Day levels of full at every meal. If you have time, leave food uneaten at every meal, just some of it. Drink water, chew gum, go for a walk. Your BP is high because you aren't healthy, not because you have a deficiency of BP medicine.

    This was the hardest thing to rewire for me personally.

    One meal a day keeps the doctor away.. Less insulin spikes means less fat storing mode. Check out OMAD on YouTube pretty much all over it showing how to do it. If you can combine it with keto or carnivore even better. But you can lose weight with the standard American diet. If you’re scared going to bed hungry you can do it at dinner time. That’s when I eat my meal. I’ve lost weight 70lbs and kept it off the last 12 years. Been from a 3 month dot card at 33 years old to a 2 year every year since then for the last 12 years. Should be a diabetic cause it runs rapid in my family and I have good blood sugar levels. Last I checked I was 84 fasted glucose acouple months ago. A person eating fruit all day spiking their blood sugar is worse off than a person eating omad a one big plate of whatever once a day.
