Have put in new rotors, calipers, etc. Salt used up here on roads does it plus brake metalurgy isn't very good, I guess. Motor (7.3) has been solid. The auto tranny in this one is ok though I'd rather have manual. They're just hard to find.

Drying out any up there RW? Give it another day or so here and may go back to feedlots. I really don't enjoy unloading in mud...mud was everywhere in that feedlot and deep. Where I opened the traps was on concrete but getting back to truck walked in mud. Their pit is completely outdoors.

Is that the Koppers yard on the south edge of Galesburg? I used to occasionally haul ties up there from southern MO. Never seen so many RR ties in my life! 3, 750's, that wasn't really an improvement.

It had started to dry a little on top because of the wind, but some of the gravel roads would still be spongy underneath just walking over them. Then it rained on and off yesterday afternoon/evening, so it is back to being both soft on top and underneath. Dad saw our road commisioner this morning and he said the gravel roads in our township would be posted starting Monday, 8 ton weight limit. He said we could stop by the township office and get a permit, that way we could bring them home empty for servicing next weekend, otherwise if the sheriff saw us, he could write a ticket. No school buses running on our gravel roads next week either. Roads have been soft before, but this is the first time I remember ours "officially" being posted.
I hate tracking mud into the truck also. The elevators we load at are solid underneath, but on top have that slimy mud that comes from all the grain dust. Can't wait for things to dry up and give them a good cleaning.

Hey Kansas if your looking for EGR valves check around. We run those crappy mercedes engines but we been getting rebuilt EGR vales through freightliner for $340 verses $1300 brand new. Dont know if that helps i know you have a cummins but we didnt know you could get those things rebuilt. Also B&R radiator hae been rebuilding our radiators there on 53rd street north just west of arkansas, they do great work. We have the kind that has the big rubber gasket around the top thats ussually where ours start leaking. Crop Jocky

Hi guys. I have been lurking around reading your posts. Just wanted to say Hello. I also pull hopper up here in Iowa - mostly hauling feeds, but some fertilizer as well. Things just slowed up here the last few weeks due to lower corn price & seasonal demand.
