Welcome to the SRT Drivers Network!

We have friendly staff at the Texarkana Terminal and the overall atmosphere is fairly Positive. Like any company you will find the one who complain or have a negative attitude. They usually don't last Here. Drivers are able to make steady income if the show up and deliver on - time and communicate with the Dispatch any problems before they become an service failure. By that I mean it is up to the Driver to keep up with HOS and let the Fleet manager know ahead of time if they cannot handle the load. If you run legal and deliver on time you can average 3000 miles or more per week. The trucks are 07 or later (we are bringing on 400 new trucks this year. Hope time is 2 weeks out min 2 days off 3 weeks 4 days 4 weeks 5 days 5 weeks 6 days off respectfully. pay is determined by your verifiable OTR experience(up to 35.5cpm), The Drivers hired most recently have a different rate due to the decreases in rates for Refrigerated Loads. The average driver earns over 36K annual. Pay is directly proportional the amount of effort your willing to put into driving.

Personally I have a good rapport with the managers and staff. I get plenty of miles 10,000 to 12,000 per month. My Truck is a 2010 Freightliner Cascadia Condo with 10 speed and DD15 Detroit Power Plant. The better runs in my opinion are the Long Hauls, 1200 to 2500 mile runs in all 48 states. Working at SRT will get you Coast to Coast if that's what you need.

3/19/10 Atlanta Georgia(Fairburn) Sitting at BP TS I-85 xit 61 (HuddleHouse) Dropped my load and waiting for reload.

I been driving for SRT since 2006, Aint got no ambition to be a Recruiter, but if someone ask about the company, I do tend to offer facts about the company as opposed to opinion. SRT is more than a J.O.B. The People who work at the SRT Terminal are very friendly. The drivers are the ones with the Bad Attitutes. It doesn't take long too figure out where the problems come from. Most of the drivers who stay and call Southern "home" deal with the ups and downs at the company. Just think, if everyday was perfect, we wouldn't have any thing to compare them too. There is no perfect J.O.B., But what see is what you get at SRT. For Many drivers SRT offers the financial stability that many small companies can not offer.
Like that movie, "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly!" Trucking has many things to offer.

Are you an O/O? Solo's can or will go coast to coast. I'm sick of being stuck on the East coast. I agree with all companies having their moments, but am I to really believe that the first time I turn down a load due to HOS that they won't leave me sitting for 2 days and calling it "home time"? Just askin'

I am a Driver, not O/O yet but someday plan on having my own Rig! Southern is ranked in the top 20 Reefer co. and does haul Coast to Coast for many large fortune 100 Companies, Our business is based on Temp Control therefore we pull All kinds of Products including HAZ FROZ and DRY. Over the Road Drivers work All 48 States. But as you would expect a majority comes out of the Northeast. You can get Hometime any where near Major Lanes, ie I-5 on the west coast. If you need to stretch your legs and go west...Happy Trails
