Hello everyone!! I have a 99, W900, I shut off the rig; parked for a little rest. After an hour I started the truck and let it run for about 5 min and took off, then all of the sudden the yellow check engine came on and the truck started to jerk I pulled to the side and shutdown let it cool for 15 min after I checked the oil, water and belts; started the truck with no check engine light on and ran smooth for about 10 miles and started doing it again with no light on this time. I changed the fuel filters and put some injector cleaner but it didn’t fix the issue. Any suggestions where to start, please and thanks!

Can you flash the codes?
Oxbow Thanks this. -
read the flash codes. turn cruise off and hold the set switch up till check engine light flashes. example flash 5 times, pause and flash 5 times. that would be a code 55, which is no codes stored.
it will keep repeating the flashes.
Google search what codes you come up with. all 2 digit I believeOxbow and Diesel Dave Thank this. -
I got 55 nothing different than 55; I repeated it 3 timesOxbow Thanks this.

There are times, and yours is one of those, where there will be a problem, the check engine light comes on but a code does not set. Someone needs to hook up a scan tool or laptop with software. Then review the data/parameters and look for 'counts' to see where the problem is. If the counts of a fault are not high/numerous enough a code will not set, but the problem area is identified.Oxbow and Crude Truckin' Thank this.

Thanks for the effort! I got it figured out while I was shaking the harness and it was rubbing against the block exposing the wires on the back side; it’s fixed now.Oxbow, JB7, Opendeckin and 5 others Thank this.
