    OK...

I see some of you are clinging to the hard line internet like guns and religion....LOL.

So, if they keep the internet and only charge for it if you use it...I'd say OK.

That way the rest of us that don't need it don't have to pay for it.

Why does it matter if the lot is full or not?? I bought my $420 tank of fuel and if I wanna park there then I'm gonna park there. If people are gonna throw out the line "well you aren't gonna use the service" I can easily throw out the line "your company doesn't fuel here" or "whats it to you, you are gonne just cook in your truck and leave in the morning while not spending any money in the truckstop" and the whole reserving of the spots............well............those orange cones aren't made of stone and can and will be easily removed if I need somewhere to park. Now Texas-Nana I really am not calling you out, you just brought up some things that I have heard alot of Idle-Air users have said and if Idle-Aire only wants people who are gonna use their service to park there then maybe they should open up their OWN truck stop and let it be for just that IDLE-AIRE USERS.

Again I'm not calling you out just letting people see the "other side" of how SOME people who do not use the service feel about "half" the parking lot being taken and screwed up by Idle-Aire.

DISCLAIMER: I'm not speaking for everyone but I do know plenty of drivers that feel how I do about having to pay to park there and the "reserving" of a parking spot

    stlsports Thanks this.

Just be considerate, if you're not going to use Idle-aire, don't park there.
If every other (heck, 90%) of the non-Idle-Aire spots are full, then nobody's gonna begrudge you. (or shouldn't)

But if it's 10 am, the lot is mostly empty and you just want to pull in Kolwicki so you are closer to the buffet line? Bad form man, just bad form.

I agree to a certain point, I was just saying I still have as much right to park there as you do even if I don't want to use the service, I don't recall me ever pulling into a IdleAire Travel Center or a IdleAire Truckstop where it's their rules on wether I can park there or not. But as for your little comment about the buffet line, please don't go there with me people park closer to the building for CONVENIENCE for many reasons not just buffet lines. And I also know every post after this one will consist of "I park in the back no matter what" which is BS, every truck stop fills up from the front to the back no matter where you park at.

Well if the "buffet line" crack didn't apply to you, then it didn't apply to YOU. Cheers mate.

i miss the idleaire service but i might not need it back as soon as i thought i would. another driver just showed me how i can connect my ps3 threw a truck stop wifi connection. all i ever needed idleaire for is when i was done moving for the night or sitting on a weekend. i could play online and talk to my kids threw the sony webcam...now i can again. but also i like the idleaire service when i owned my on truck (what a idiot i was for that..another horrible stroy for another time) i would save on fuel.

Idle Air parking configurations do suck. But that said when I needed Idle Air and it was there I was greatful. All that's really important to keep Idle Air and the like companies as far as I'm concerned is providing heat/air and electricity. The tv, internet, etc... forget that stuff. Just keep me cool or warm, give me power and I'm a happy girl. :yes2557:
