Has anyone got any information on this flatbed company out of Memphis Tn. Its not a big outfit like Maverick or TMC, they have about 400-500 trucks, and they run alot of frieght in Ohio, thats about all i know.

If safety issues matter to you, check out their SafeStat scores. Not so good in my humble opinion. With CSA 2010 coming up, getting inspected solely because you drive for a "red light" carrier doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Drivers are going to be under closer scrutiny, why help the "scrutinizer"? But....I'm new to this trucking thing, just a wannabe actually. Maybe it's not that big of a deal.

Safety is an issue to me and im sure there is alot of companies out there under the red flag. If the driver is doing his job right and the load securements are done correct then the driver should not have anything to worry about. Ive only been driving trucks since 2007 and still learning about this industry (its crazy). I was with TMC just under a year and had to leave do to family issues needed taken care of and they were understanding and left on good terms. Im looking to go back as a re-hire but saw that BTC was running alot of frieght in and out of Ohio and that would be a better chance getting home on weekend. I have not heard that much negitave feedback on them.

Hey, thanks, i saw that as well, i heard it was a dedicated and loads were from Middletown Oh (AK steel) and some others in Ohio. I live off I-75 and that would work. When i was with TMC back in 2008 i liked working for them, they treated me right most the time and got me home on most weekends but i had been hearing alot of changes going on with the company and was not sure how stable they were, i did hear they dropped down to 62MPH on the trucks.

I did a short stent with them last year and pay sucked. But so did the rest of the country.Talked to a current driver by me and said its picking back up and so is the pay.Tolls are com check now and they are set to 62 mph.He and others dont seem worried about them shutting down.My old fm called me and wants me to come back.Waiting to hear from recruiter to see how they will bring me back.So we will see

I spoke with a recruiter last week and they said they would bring me back as a rehire but said i might have to go out with a trainer for two weeks, it just determines how much i remember. Flat bedding is all ive done so hopfully that would go ok. Ive seen alot of there trucks on I-75 going north and south so it looks like there is frieght and hopfully the money is there, if u here anything keep me posted.

Hey everyone, starting new job with BTC (Builders Transportation Company). Been doing some checking on a few companies and decided to go with BTC. I have not seen or heard much negitive things on them but your going to have the good and the bad with any company, i hope it will be more good, since frieght should pick up and get miles in with spring coming around the corner. I start Monday on the 22nd and will post on this adventure how things go and if there is anyone who works for them, give me a reply on what to expect.
