Yes, their web site is vague. From what I know, they hire from the areas that they run. My pay was quoted at 34/mi. I know not great, but the majority of their trucks right now are averaginig around 4k per week so I can deal with the low pay. Their qualifications are about the same as just everybody else out their. They want me to call when I get back to the states. Still have not heard back from KLLM. Also now looking at JCT. Worked for them back in 2003 and from what I amn reading, seems like lots of improvement. Now it is between Van Kampen and JCT. It really burns me when companies can not even answer e-mails.

Yeah,I Agree On The NO Call Back. And 34/mi. For 15yrs.? For Laughs & Giggles I Sent KLLM An Email Asking Them About Their L/P With An APU And I'm Still WAITING For A Reply. Keep Me Updated And I'll Do The Same.

Yeah, that pay left a little to be desired, but if I can avg 3800 miles per week, I can deal with it. Just left my last co, .36/mi, and a avg of 2500 week. 2 cent cut but a increase in avg mile by 1300, I can deal with it. Waiting to see if you get a reply. Not even any replies on two of their topics. Guess that KLLM drivers are not checking lately, and for all that I know, that email address does not rezlly even work.

At 62 mph. Man,Thats SLOWER Than SNI. And That 150mi. Radius Of Not Being Able To Bring Your Truck Home,Thats A SAFETY PROBLEM. That Is To LONG A Commute. A LONG Time Ago I Used To Pull FUEL Tankers Out Of San Jose,Ca And Some Drivers Lived In Stockton Or Sacramento. They Were Falling ASLEEP At The Wheel (personal vehicles) On Their Way Back To Work. And DYING!!!! 12 To 15hr. Days And Then Driving Home And Then Back To Work. NEEDLESS To Say It Became A 50 Mile Radius Of Hiring. 150mi. Is STUPID.

Well after reading all here, I finally made a decision. I am starting with Transport 21 on the 15th. We talked alot, and I like what I heard. I am going with the L/P. The owner has started his own company again, followinig in his fathers footsteps. Keeping it small. No more then 150 trucks, and he has the freight.

My truck will be a 2010 Cascadia. You can check on their web site and see the specs.

What sold me was that their payments are based on a 4 week month. I can chose to have an additional payment taken out on the months with 5 weeks. This will benefit me becuase of my travels to China. The extra payment will take care of mypayment when I am gone, and since I am travelling back over again in 9-12 months, my payments are taken care while I am there for 3 weeks.

Also what sold me was the fact that if the owner sees that I am trying to pay off soon, he will help me to get the truck re-financed.

Well keep all posted. I know that their are many that do not like L/P, but after Chapter 13 3 months ago, I need to start somewhere, and they report.
