Take a picture of the HOS clock and a pic of the log for the day and post them here.
silverspur and gentleroger Thank this. -
That’s weird. Did the clock somehow stop counting at some point like the way a video will hang up with a slow internet connection?
-
did your company provide any training of what need to do if your ELD is screwed up?
If not call them. get your log book out and fill in the past 7 days and today out.
Go paper until they tell you it is fixed. -
Is it samsara?
-
Also, any possibility of editing and fixing it with a split sleeper?

Had just started my night with a full clock and my Qualcomm went negative while driving… generated a violation, and then a few min later went back to normal. Best we could figure is the device was syncing and the servers didn’t have my break for some reason. Running a bunch of splits can also confuse the devices depending on which gets considered the short or long one, I’ve had to use edits to force it.

Mmmmm how long were you on on duty not driving?
-
Considering he said he was going to the bathroom, I guess the question should be how long was he off duty but making dooty?
If it was Samsara, it does that if you put the screen off. It will log you off automatically and when you turn the screen on and get back into system, it logs you in and updates your time. I've had a little bit of a shock with it too, but if you keep in mind about how long you've been on duty and such, then you can look at the times and see that it's not right and wait for it to update.
