Man, I am so glad that I decided to Google CR England this morning. I was literally 4 days away from getting on the bus to go to Salt Lake City...THANK YOU all so much for the heads up. Saved me a lot of heartache and significant butt-chewing from my wife about this screw up!

I pulled for CRE in 2002 for 5 mos. I couldn't afford any more.

My settlements consisted of 1/2 page my income & 2 pages of itemization of what I owed them.

I needed a steer tire in Little Rock once. So I went into the Petro (I'd used them sucessfully in the past) & told Mike, the svc mgr, & he quoted $340.00, balanced & "out the door". I told him that I wanted to use England's national account. Mike replied "Sure?". I told I was sure. He didn't say any more & had the new tire mounted.

On my next settlement I was charged $548.00 for that tire. England made $200. on that tire.

That's when I learned that national accounts are required to be less expensive than the regular prices.

This is why you should never lease their trucks or be a O/O for them if you are not making enough money from them to cover immediate expenses.

And NEVER EVER agree to ANY repairs on the road until you check with the company maintainance people and get the repairs approved or advised as to what they will pay. It's always CYA time as a company or lease driver!

You never know,You really need to be pro-active with these companies. Now Central refer just flat out says must hold job, school doesn't count. Prime only tells you they have better qualified applicants.(yet ran ad in Sunday in Lexington paper.) Swift only wanted award letters and something from doctor. But, after I went and got physical(med card), passed their online CDL, got permit and date for academy(recruiter would ask what date I wanted every time I called) they are now saying they need to review the doctor statement and cancelled my academy date. Guess they figured I could'nt pass DOT and now looking for a way out.
May have to file EEOC complaint if they balk, as I am well within Federal physical standards and transplant compliance rules.
    Good luck on your end.

I'm glad we saved one guy.

Unfortunately there will be plenty more that come behind and think that the things they just read are all lies. "The recruiter sounded so nice and you guys sound so mean, the recruiter would never lie to ME."

I showed up at CR England orientation yesterday thinking I would be a company driver on a dedicated run home on weekends. I figured I would check it out. The recruiter did not claim this was true but said it could be possible.
I lasted all the way through the first smoke break. When I got back to class the experienced drivers were told we had to lease a truck so I left. It cost me $40 to get back to the motel and 1/2 tank of fuel up and back from home to Riverside area. I had to spent the night at a flea bag motel. My celly was cool but there were a bunch of idiots there for my ammusement. We were given a sheet full of rules at the motel. We were treated in a very rude manner by the instructor at the orientation. This is unacceptable in polite society. We were woken up for 4am breakfast and shuttle trip. We had to wait 1 1/2 hrs for orientation.
I am emotionally devistated and may never get over this for the rest of my life.
