Would you guys say cryogenic is less dangerous than fuel?
viper822004 Thanks this. -
Absolutely not having hauled both, cryogenics can bite you in more than one way. With its temps -200 to -460 degree’s causing horrible burns and frostbite, It can displace the oxygen in the air and cause asphyxiation. When dealing with liquid oxygen if mixed with any grease, oil, or petroleum based product can cause an explosion if not handled correctly. When dealing with Liquid Hydrogen if it catches fire it typically burns clear and is easily ignited by static charge alone!viper822004 and Rugerfan Thank this.
