Lol why not get another one and keep your 70 fresh? I thought I was getting a 34 this weekend. I'm glad I looked at the load info because the load up to Chicagoland delivers Sunday. I'm thinking it was Monday that I needed to get there oops lol

I’m a company driver. I’ve been here almost a year and have done almost 130k. Although I stay primarily in the truck all the time. Partially because I have a pillow top mattress in my bunk and sleep better in the truck lol

Welcome to Weekend Whining with Thrasher

If it can be broken, I will break it apparently lol. CEL came on last night 20 minutes north of Espanola. Code shows up as crank case ventilation - disconnected. Easy checks online were the breather tubes, oil fill cap/tube, dipstick tube, etc. Nothing out of the ordinary, so I guess I'll call Chris later to get approval to run it back to MO later before I get accused of neglect if I just wait til I get to the terminal to let them know.

They didn't last time, but this time, grower-shipper had drivers sign a form saying it's a 100 fee if you don't bring an empty weight and the load is over gross, so keep that in mind. I'm sure Climate will be more inclined to reimburse the 11 dollar scale ticket compared to the 100 dollar rework fee. Carrier shouldn't have to spend a dime if someone is shipping over the agreed upon weight, but I don't foresee Climate putting up too much argument with their tater customer lol. 20231014_072235.jpg

On a positive note, the trip from Santa Fe to Alamosa on 285 was one of the prettiest and most peaceful trips I've had in New Mexico. Feels like you're on Mars with the scenery and lack of civilization.

My check engine light comes on and off. For Volvos, that always seems to happen once it starts cooling off. I've got a service coming up so they can fix the air leak I have as well. I never knew that Grower Shipper was charging for rework. Then again, I don't think I've hauled a load out there that weighed more than 44200. Usually around 42000.

I know that drive was nice. You could probably holler and be heard for miles.

I like running out west in the winter. I enjoy the challenge of winter driving in the mountains.

Yea if growers is the one in town where ya use peppers scale up the street. I believe that's one that's posted if they load it there way an it's wrong it's free to rework it. If they do it your way an it's wrong they charge. It's posted something like that.

My wife and I along with Nova our 10 yr old have welcomed Jack to our family. Was gonna get the brown an white pup but he was really skittish an acted out of sorts. All the other dogs were fine. This one was the runt an we hit it off immediately. He rode home well in the truck for 460 miles no problem.
