I appreciate it. I'll give them a look. Let's just hope they aren't a bunch of zip-code commissars.
*UPDATE*
Just looked at them and they seem good. I submitted an application and will call them on Monday. (Yep, they wanted my zip. Freakin' Bolsheviks)![]()

Need a CDL - If you are over 22, have a clean MVR, have a clean criminal background - We have a solution for you. Contact our recruiting department and ask about our in house "Tuition-Free" CLD training program. TLX will hire and pay you to obtain your Class A CDL, train you to secure Flatbed freight, and put you on the path to make $60,000 to $80,000 per year at TLX.MSWS Thanks this. -
I looked at their site. They require 2 years of flatbed experience and the hometime is "most" weekends. Much appreciated.
-
Try anyway. The website also shows AWL has their own cdl school.
Also has some dry vans.MSWS Thanks this. -
They say "most" weekends, which is an immediate disqualifier. Most can be as little as 50.01% of the time. My primary reason for looking at flatbed is home weekly, with staying in region and running days tied for second. Thanks, though.
-
If you are in the midwest - easy ... I rarely not home on weekends, maybe 4-5times in 5 years
-
McElroy is probably your best bet if you want guaranteed home time. Maverick & TMC are both not guaranteed weekends home.
MSWS Thanks this. -
Appreciate it. I ruled at Maverick immediately for that reason. The TMC position I'm looking at says regional - home weekly, but I'll be sure to check out the fineprint, so to speak. If I see OTR or any kind of qualifier related to the hometime, I pass on it. I have zero interest in flatbed beyond home weekly/regional.Truckermania Thanks this.
