I used to work for Maverick and while I did not work for TMC I know they basically operate similar to Maverick, meaning most weekends home but not guaranteed. McElroy is owned by a Seventh Day Adventist so they believe in not working on Saturday's.

You are absolutely right about McElroy, and I had completely forgot about that. I also like that their HQ isn't too far from where I live.

Shelton Trucking, Altha, FL used to have 2 different home-time options. Option 1 was home every weekend. Option 2 was home every 2 weeks. I see a couple of their trucks all the time at the fuelstop I use in south Alabama. They were merged into P&S Transportation a couple of years ago.

If home is most important, why aren't you looking for LTL or food service?

I looked at them but all I saw was OTR. When we're talking about hometime, regional runs and a consistent schedule, those three letters might as well be a skull and crossbones.

LTL doesn't seem to like my auto-restriction and food service in my area wants prior unloading experience. I was told by one hiring manager to go get 6 months on a dollar store account and reapply. I won't go anywhere near those parking lots with a 53' trailer.

Seeing as how I currently have a job, I'm definitely not a beggar. I can afford to be a chooser right now. Worst case scenario, I don't find what I'm looking for and I stay where I'm at.

Oh yeah. I didn't run too much into the NE. PA was the farthest northeast I ran for the most part. Midwest, mostly Ohio, Indiana, I made a living in those states
