Dumb ### on a bicycle on an interstate? I mean yeah the trucker is supposed to be the pro there, probably this shouldn't have happened, but at the sane time how ####ing stupid do you have to be to risk your life riding a bicycle on an interstate? Natural selection is a thing.

Truck driver was WAY at fault.

Regardless of the roadway, one has to drive with reasonable caution. That driver had no concern.

The driver clearly drove right over painted lines, which is improper lane usage. The cyclists had the right of way, since they had the original lane and the one was indicating he was moving right, along the painted line. No excuse.

We have no idea where this is, from what I saw. That may not even be an interstate, but, simply some kind of expressway they must use to transfer one road to another. It’s common along the Mississippi River, to get from one state to the next, and cyclists are allowed to use the interstate.

Very presumptuous to say they were out to prove something. Again, we don’t know the situation.

As a previously avid cyclist, I’ve experienced some really stupid crap intentionally done to me by drivers, even on remote gravel roads. Drivers don’t have to like cyclists or cycling, but, the person enjoying the hobby is still a human being and someone’s loved one. No driver has the right to harm another. Having said that, I do agree, some cyclists are complete buttwipes, with zero regard for themselves or others. I shake my head, when I see it. The most recent was seeing a cyclist on “Tail of the Dragon”, when the Blue Ridge Parkway isn’t very far away and offers a 45mph speed limit, very generous shoulders, and amazing views.

That's great they have equal rights as motorists. Doesn't mean it's wise and smart for them to try and prove a point sharing the road with motorists. I choose not to park at truck stops anymore in fact I choose to never even stop at them for any reason. I'm welcome there like any other trucker but guess what, my hood never gets torn off...

Exactly. People with No sense meaning many cyclists, the truck driver in the video and the politicians who wrote the law. Signs in the area say "Share the Road" meaning share with cyclists. wtf. Bikes and vehicles don't mix well. A recipe for disaster which shows up in the fatalities between cars and cyclists. The most recent fatality was a married mother of 2 kids who was riding a bike on the sidewalk along a very busy 4 lane road with many entrances to businesses and small shopping centers. A truck was turning off the road and there was a collision between the truck and bicycle. I blame the cyclist far more than the driver.

Here is my only bicycle story from my driving days. Two lane road in iowA. Some kind of big bicycle event. I'm loaded. Come up on two riders. Side by side in the middle of the lane. Was a small shoulder. I could not pass. So. I have to slow down to bicycle speed to keep from killing the A Holes. Finally they move over so I can get around em. A holes.
