460 miles in a truck with no problem for the first time is a good sign. Nova's got a big ole noggin'. Sweet looking puppies

Ended up getting a low coolant warning right as I crossed the summit on La Veta Pass. Was terrified it was going to do what Freightliners do and shut down the motor. Was right in the middle of min/max and no signs of leaks this morning, but magically dropped below min today. Slowly opened the cap to relieve pressure and instantly shot back up to over minimum. DIY burped it and topped it off a couple times and the air bubbles quit and level stabilized.. maybe they forgot to purge it when installing APU or it just took a true heat cycle for the air to show itself, idk.

The fault code from last night hasn't had any occurrences so far today, so I'm hoping the few things I tried per Google recommendations fixed it and it'll go inactive sometime today or tomorrow.

This is going to be a stressful run across CO-10 with no shoulder or services lol. This is why I've always told people that new trucks aren't always what they're cracked up to be. The 100-200k miles trucks are the ones truly in their prime with minimal issues. But, I'm thankful they let me drive a new truck of course. Just a few kinks to work out.

Is that 130k miles or income? I thought you were going home a little more. Got through with my short weekend. Got the puppy settled in at home. He is gonna stay home a little bit for our old baby to get used to him an then he'll be on the truck with me. I am headed to Clinton to dump seed tonight. Then a short corn load tomorrow an bounce to st louis for fishmeal to Georgia. Gotta load Thursday in Georgia an head back home for Monday delivery in Wisconsin. The big wigs are meeting me on both ends to watch the product get loaded amd unloaded. It's a product that gets put around plants to help hold the water. Should be an interesting dealio.

It’s miles lol should have notated that. I changed my mind on going home more. I’m trying to move to Alabama. So I’m saving money and staying out longer so I can make more to make that happen

Yeah 10-4. I was thinking you'd already made the move. We're in good shape now I just Consolidated the last three little debts that we have. We just paid our pickup truck off. So we're starting to save money again.

I guess they didn't have anything that fit well with my hours today near Moberly, so they ended up just sending me to Union to go ahead and knock out this CEL. Coincidentally, it decided to go inactive for the first time as soon as I pulled into the terminal lol. The CEL was still on, so I don't look completely dumb and it probably needs checked anyways.

Saw one of the crazier things I've seen in trucking today. Maybe its not that unusual, but it was sketchy to me lol. Someone was pulling a manufactured home down 47 all the way to Union. I don't know exactly how wide, but it was at least over 12 feet. They almost had a horrible wreck going down the steep windy hill. Guardrails on both sides and another big truck coming the other direction. The big truck with a dryvan barely was able to stop soon enough to not get in a horrific wreck. I would have expected at least a police escort for that kind of run, but I guess there's a chance they didn't even fool with permits to start with. Seeing things like that makes me wish I had a Go Pro or dashcam. Obviously couldn't pull out my phone to record lol

Just love getting hosed by the shipper. Out here in BFE Colorado loading taters. Started my day at 05:00 delivering my babysit Coke load, got outta there, got sent this load and thought "I can make this". Get out here at noon, and promptly sit for an hour an a half because they're at lunch. Didn't get loaded/ppwk/scaled til 18:00. Sat here for 6 hours waiting, and didn't get any sleep whatsoever, now I'm all jacked up from scaling and hopping in and out of the trailer putting in load locks...only have 4 hours left on my 10, and del time is 02:00 Wed morning at Alfi in O'Fallon. Sent dispatch a message letting them know there's a good chance I won't make OTD due to lack of sleep, but I'm gonna give it the ol college try and fafo lol. Told them I'd update them in the am as to how things were going or not going. Man I hate days like this.

That kinda thing is pretty common at the tater sheds. There is leeway on that aldi's o'fallon delivery. They'll take you late. Just give dispatch your best eta. Run it on in there. Worst case scenario is they for whatever reason don't take it an ya drop it at craftsman an move along. Dispatch won't hold it against ya cuz ya got hung up at the shipper and you've communicated with them.
