Dang man....I know you was stressed a bit. Issues like that in the middle of nowhere can make you sweat in strange places for real! I nearly overslept for my delivery at 4 am Sunday. It was so bizarre. It's at the Jewel Osco DC. You check in either on an app or by texting this 877 number. Then nobody was really on the same page. The guard tells me to go to their new staging area, yet the yard jockeys kept turning me around, citing an old policy if waiting on the street til I get a text. It was so much back and forth til I got in the door. Once I did, they took off the milk. I spent the rest of the weekend in the suburbs of Chicago, where my next pickup was. Was scheduled to pickup at 1230 today, but they took me early and I was able to haul ### to Hershey, drop and now I sit here at the yard with a load to Ft Worth. Don't deliver til Wed night. I'm happy that I don't need to set an alarm tomorrow.

Which potato farm did you go to? They put some deadhead miles on you for real. Every once in a while those potato spots hold you up, or you eat up time going to multiple spots to load on that area. Professor is right about Aldi. I don't think appt times mean that much to that particular location. They just check in drivers as they come so the line don't build all the way into the street.

Those 4am appointments are tough. For 00:00-02:00, I just stay up and sleep after, but 04:00 is pushing it. Waking up at 3am is never easy lol. I'm headed the same direction as you -- sitting here at The Woodshed in Big Cabin headed to Dallas for a Wednesday morning delivery. Only recapping a little under 5 hours tomorrow, so I'll probably just plan on playing it safe and stopping at the Love's in Colbert tomorrow.

I feel ya on the no alarm tomorrow. My 03:30 Moberly appointment today whooped me. Got a couple hours of sleep before and a couple hours after.

Yeah, if you haven't had the pleasure of running CO-10 and up to US40 yet, you'll definitely want to be well rested lol. The most exciting thing you'll see is a Love's on 287 and maybe a couple cows if you run it in the daylight. Certainly a 'put you to sleep' route.

The tater shippers are hit or miss -- seems like Monte Vista seems to be the best out of the handful I've done. The one up in Center, CO is a mess. Took me an hour going between 3 locations just to check in, then I got overloaded and have to have it reworked by hand since it was floor loaded taters. Was a 3 hour ordeal that should've been 30 minutes

I parked next to your truck in Junction City for a couple hours over the weekend. Was going to turn it into a photo op, but didn't want to be a weirdo lol. You just happened to be parked next to the open spot closest to Walmart. :D

Welp, lesson learned. Yard Move screws up your 10. Didn't think it would do that given how many 30min+ breaks I've done in YM/on duty at Hershey in the past. Went off doodie at 13:00, was expecting to get out of here around now (23:30) but nope. I done screwed up lol. Guess it's back to sleep for me after I update dispatch. Fml lol

If you did it close to the 2-3 mark or 7-8 hour mark, you can probably just hit the split sleeper option and be good to go soon

Yea yard move is on duty not driving time. It works for a half hour break cuz any on duty not driving time counts along with off duty or sleeper berth for half hour break.

With the log system we use I have to use off duty personal conveyance for yard move which works out really well. It's just how JJ keller is set up I guess.

Yea 10 can be interesting. We had a vehicle broke down east bound before on a hill. I couldn't see past the top of the hill. Went around an thankfully just cleared an oncoming vehicle. Got stuck in a bad storm across there with no where to pull off. Made the stop sign at 50 in La Junta an got the crap beat out of our truck with hail.

I'm in Climate country again. Loading here at gateway co pack off 64. Loaded here once when i was at climate. Getting fishmeal to take down around Atlanta. Then going over an getting reload back to Wisconsin for Monday. Guess the stuff is real dusty an the big wigs are gonna fly in on both ends to watch me load an unload it. Kinda neat I guess.
