Hello, I have a 40’ Motorhome on a Freightliner chassis. Time for new tires that will probably only see 50,000 miles so looking for ride, cost and safety. I hear great things about Toyo but upon shopping I found Indonesia made tires at about 1/2 the cost. Does anyone have experience with these. I live close to the Los Angeles and Long Beach ports.

My tire people tell me that the belting used in cheap tires is their problem.
The belt likes to break or move around. Then their out of round and soon after come apart. Of course it will do that on a weekend and at night in the middle of nowhere.
The money you save will not even cover the service call if you can find someone to come save your butt.
TOYO always worked good for me when I could find them. Their down side was as they wear chunks of rubber come off.
I have had very good luck with Armstrong and Firestone. -
What “Offshore” brands are you referring too ? Name them, will tell you yay or nay ………

I went with Kelly on my motor home. They’re made by Goodyear but don’t have the high dollar branding. Last I knew they were still made in the US as well. I felt like I got a good value out of them. The one thing to watch for if it’s a size they don’t sell as many of is that they don’t give you some that are 3 years old already. I had that happen to me.
Diesel Dave Thanks this.
