Covenant Info

BigWheels, it sounds like your partner is a no-no. You can't make money with him. You will be really spinning your wheels...
But wait, don't give up yet, after all you have gone through. You can get another partner (I think you can get U$ 50.00 for each day you are at Chatt, attending team meetings and looking for partner. Ask team lady).

If you guys go back to Chatt and you find a partner before him, you get to keep the truck.

This guy is really trippin on something. He had it out going down I-15 the other day. Let me start at the top hear. Now We get a empty move from Phoenix, AZ to Pomona,CA to P/U. A security load. As we get there we pull in the gate. Stop check in. Drop trailer to pick up loaded trailer.

My trainer was there and call me up and said come and hauler at me. Its sat. And every thing is closed as in the offices.

So I walk over to talk to my old trainer. Which we have been talking about my co driver. You know I'm just doing a self check. He agrees with us. This guy is crazy.

So as I looked at the truck I can see him in the front seat. Looking at us. So I said later I'll call. I go back to the truck and he all moody.

The QC gave us the trailer # so I go and pick it up. Back up to it,hook it, check it. He gets out as if hes going to help right. But instead starts telling what to do. What. I not liken this.

So if he said hook up the air lines. I started cranking the feet. If he said check the 5Th wheel I hooked up the air hoses. I told him I don't need this kind of help. But he could help.

Back in the truck he on the QC Doing the mac 4 leaving stop. But cant finish with out the bill of laden. I said we have to do a empty drop mac 9 First. Which he didn't like me telling him what to do.

So I do it! He told me I had to complete the mac 4 before doing the mac 9. No I don't It will be still right here. It want be deleted. Man.

So I pull around to the guard shack to get my bol and seal manifest. So the guard check every thing even the QC to see the order numbers with trailer numbers to be a match.

Now this guy is sitting in the passenger seat listening to us and calls down give me that. So I gave him the bol right so he can finished.

I go around and get in after talking to the guard pull Thur the gate stop just out side the gate to turn on my GPS. now you know that covenant doesn't give out all the info on these security loads all at once.

On the bol the trailer # does not match. And says we got the wrong trailer. I said no we pick up the trailer that was dispatched to us. Will he says there wrong and starts calling. No answer, And starts sending message over the QC.

Now this how they answered. We dispatched the trailer # to you. We are not going to put it on the bol. DUH!!! to make it easy for the robbors right.

So I'm like I got to go and start going as we drive from the yard. down the side streets and us highway then I- 15 right.

He replies you don't going to send a mac 4. What you already sent it. He said no. I said why? you had started it and i gave you the bol. He replies it not my shift. (What).

I said well now that you waited until now to say something about it. partner. As I'm driving down I-15. I can't stop. SECURTY load. X mount of miles right.

I asked well go ahead and send it as I'm now driving .HE said NO!!! WHY!!! Its not my shift. I said then why did you start it.If you were not going to finish it. He said its his choose. MAN!!

Now! you think I was asking for something hard to do. Instead of pushing a few buttons. He start telling it my fault. I'm like wait its my fault because you started something and didn't finish it. That is my fault some how. He said yes. This goes on for a while!

Told him to screw it! When I'm driving your not to touch anything. do not help me in any way, i don't want it. Your not even to be up hear your in the sleeper now get in the back.

He asked? who do you think you talking to. I said don't play games with me I'm talking to you. Freak no body else is in the truck.
Your not my boss,your don't my trainer,this is not your truck.

He said yes I am. "I'm the # one driver. Its the space no the trip info sheet to send to the office when done with the loads. It don't mean anything here. Mr right has only been doing his 6 months for 2 months and has spent 3 weeks looking for partners.

So Mr right has no more time behide the wheel then I do. The truck is not sign to him or me.

I told him he had no idea what team is all about. You want to sit there and be lazy fine. I am not stopping I am not sending the mac 4. I just don't care. If he didn't like it to call someone NOW!!!! I had enough.

There is one thing, hear i knew. We was not to go all the way with this load had to re-power. Because my co driver had to be in court on the 16Th. The routing they gave us was to go I-15 to I-70. The wrong way. Had to send a mac 4 to get the new routing. I was not going to do it, I told him. I don't care if you make it to court. I'm going with the routing on the QC.

He started blab blabbing like a little kid. I feel like a little kid with this stuffing going on. Man when do we grow up. He 45 and 10 years in the navy.

I told him to shut up and stop talking to me. Just shut up. HA HA! He replied who you telling to shut up you cant talk to me that way. You shut up. Ha ha ha!! gee whizz

I was just about to let him get to me. Them I just put on my mp3 and turn it up. As I'm putting it on He replies now that's childless. I replied and it works to. I'm done talking to you.

He sat over there blab blabbing over and over. I was getting back to driving with no intent to send a mac 4. I don't care. I'm telling my self i got to get off this truck.

Then I like why do I have to get off. He can get off. Either he going to get it or get off. I can be a real pain to.

I just can't miss any more days of work over this my truck stuff.My way stuff. I should do as rocks has told me to. Go back to chatt, TN.

This guy is going to get the both of us fired. Beside the paper work and the fact he don't want to work as a team. He passes fuel stops all most ran the truck out of gas. And didn't want to call dispatch of fuel dept. So I figured out the closes pilot which was 289 miles a way and we had a 1/4 of a tank. I told him I thank we can go 350 miles on a 1/4 tank but its not my call (ITS NOT MY SHIFT) So it on you. partner. He goes for it and makes it. Which I knew we would. I'm not sitting on the side of the road waiting on fuel. But if we did it would be my fault some how

But we had to go out of rout. to do it. I called my trainer for covenant for 7 years. To see what he would do and like the idea he missed the fuel stop. He said that I thank you be fine. But it not my truck. He should call dispatch. Which he not going to do. he trying to empress him.

He doesn't call security when he stops on security loads. mac 34.
Stops with in x number of miles of the shipper or receiver.Not cool at all.

The other day we had a hazmat load. Which he doesn't have. But we were not placard. I woke up to find out we had hazmat on the truck and he lefted the shipper 200 miles a go and has not called safety. Which is mandatory for hazmat loads. They tell you every thing you should know and give you a hazmat number.

He said we didn't have to knew that. I said yes we do Mr know it all. Gee whizz. You better call someone you know and ask then or I calling safety and doing it.

He called someone and said yes you do. He like I knew that I was just checking blab blab. Now he has no idea how to do it.

Should i help. NO! But i thank if i want my job i better call and I did it for him. blab blab.

The part that scare me is when he tired hes confused easy. I see him pausing as if he was going to do something and forgot what it was. disoriented

The thangs I do, to make a dollor. And I hear ya!!

I had to covenant to get this guy moving. Yesterday I called my dispatcher to see what was going on. He didn't know.

We tried to call him and it was a bad number. He ask if I'll hold. Yes. He had to go to human resource and get some phone numbers to call.

We call one for his home and his son picked up and i said ask him to call his co driver. And today no call.

I called covenant again my dispatcher was not in. So I talked to a guy name mike. Told him what was going on. We been off the truck for almost 5 days with two left in this pay week.

Another small pay check. So mike told me he was going to call him and if he didn't call in an hour he was going to tell me to go pick up the truck. YEA!!!!

But with 30 min left to go!! Mike call back. Said he talked with him and told him to be ready to go in the morning.# 800. Bummer!

This guy has yet to call me. Once. to make sure we are on the same page. Just goes to show you what kind of partner he is.

I would like to get another partner. As likely this is not going to work out. But I do not have enough money to do that. Yet.

If the poop hits the fan than I'll have to bite the bullet. Hope we make it threw this.

Some people just can't be reached. No matter what you do.
And with the stress of every thing going on with me. I hate to be the one i blow up on.

 

get out of that company! Why are you online? Call elsewhere and get away from those bums!

Hey guys I have great news; Well for me anyway.

Drum roll please!!!!!!!!! My co-driver is getting off the truck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!yea!!yea!

Man! This guy is something else. Thank god he leaving.

After a few phone calls he is going to quit. I did not have anything to do with it.

We got a new dispatcher that basically told him how its going to be.

Log dept. had him down with a few problems on his logs and started to tell the guy or lady on the phone they were wrong.

He got in trouble with someone at covenant he want give me the satisfaction of know what happen.

I'm now at chatt. tn to get him off the truck.

Hes all nice right now. And telling everyone that he got a job at home that better for him.

This is good new for me. But Now I have to find a good co-driver. Talk to yall tomorow tell you what going on.

Man I'm hang on. But this some kind of ride. I just want to put my time in.Make some money. Keep it safe and go home.

This is a job. That covenant gave me when no body else would.
They as so for has kept there side straight.

I'm doing the best I can. I have made it this far. It hasn't been easy. It should have been easier than this.

I can't say enough about what the heck goes on out hear. When your stuck with some power trippin fool. Who walking around with he super trucker cape on trying not to trip over it.

I feel for some drivers who are unable to take action. To take a stand and stop this foolish. I went out on a limb to see how far i could go before it broke off.

If I had to prove that he was doing the stuff he was doing he have to do the same. Prove it.

Covenant does and will help to get tyou off that truck and some where else. If you ask for help.

Now one day with all this stuff going on in my life. I wasnt going to let this guy run be off. I made up my mind I wasnt getting off he was.

I said it before and I really dont like being mean. I'm a big guy. And I can move what ever I what to move when its time. If you know what I mean.

This guy was messing arouind with my job and the only way I have to take care of my family. I just used my mind and play some very hard ball with this guy.

I just want take it from him. But I was being smart about it. He pressed me and i pressed back. It got very heated many times.

Will enough of the tuff man stuff. He made alot of mistakes and got on the phone many times trying to fix them. And step on some poeples toes along the way who also wouldn't taken it. And just basic made his on bed and he had to sleep in it.

But all and all got my a/c fix today. got some covenant stuff done today.
Had no luck on finding a co driver today. Got to wait untill monday now to see what happens.

Good job BigWheels! You show that you are a die hard trooper. Teaming is the worst part. Take one day at a time.... Hopefully you will find a good team partner (they are out there, just like you, looking for another good partner). I had 7 partners in 6 months.... It wasn't easy. And being a female made teaming even more difficult for me. But I survived, and did well. And so will you. You are determined, strong will, hard working, patient, you have good attitude and that is all very important for success. All the best to you!!

 

HAPPY EASTER!! EVERYONE.

Spent the day in CHATTANOONGA. Got a cab to go to the eye world to see about some new eye balls. And for 2 for $78 and eye exam for $46. I couldn't say no.

The cab cost me. $30 there and $30 back. With a little discount i saved $11 on the cab ride. ouch!!!!!!!!!!

The shuttle could not take me. They are limited to how far they can go.

But hung out off of gun barrel road. Walked around checking out all the shops. ( Just the same things you have at home) But was nice to know they were there.

bought smokey and the bandit at walmart for $5. Going to watch and some needed laughs. Thanks see y'all soon.
