Same here. My Volvo's DRLs are disabled but unless I'm idling or driving through a scale/parking lot, I leave my headlamp switch on since the Volvo trucks have the headlamp switch wired to turn off the lights when the key is turned off. I noticed a bunch of our 2011 trucks have their DRLs turned off but all older and newer trucks have them on. Wierd.

I love it when it's raining, foggy and after dusk and they still won't put their lights on.They also go 48 in a 65 zone,in the middle lane, because it's raining .We all know that going slower is safer...........yeah right!

A very old thread but I thought I'd add that the headlights in my truck come on automatically when I turn the wipers on.

    Old issue solved.

I made that reply back in 2012... 11 years ago. Easy and cheap to change a bulb back then.

Just fyi about Florida and driving with flashers.

The practice is now allowed in Florida according to a law passed by the legislature that went into effect on July 1, 2021, but only on highways with speed limits at or above 55 mph and only when conditions create “extremely low visibility.”
