Same here. My Volvo's DRLs are disabled but unless I'm idling or driving through a scale/parking lot, I leave my headlamp switch on since the Volvo trucks have the headlamp switch wired to turn off the lights when the key is turned off. I noticed a bunch of our 2011 trucks have their DRLs turned off but all older and newer trucks have them on. Wierd.

Just fyi about Florida and driving with flashers.
The practice is now allowed in Florida according to a law passed by the legislature that went into effect on July 1, 2021, but only on highways with speed limits at or above 55 mph and only when conditions create “extremely low visibility.”
