Your comment wasn't necessary, because I don't think it natural for a 8th grader to take sell naked pictures of girls to other classmates, I am homosexual. You must not have kids and if you do you really don't give a rats a s s what they do. Where did it say, " it's completely unnatural for young boys to want to look at young girls?" It came from your mouth or fingers however you want to read it. It's not good idea for children to have Cell phones. Allow your kids to have Cell phones, just apply restrictions when to call, how long and who to call. And they do make phones without Camera still, well for now anyways.

By the law? Yes. And you better hope it's not a fake because the law won't take that as an excuse either. Though 18 is legal in only 8 states. The rest are younger. The law for pictures is 18. So in my state 17 is legal but you'd better not take pictures.

The letter of the law says yes, this is child pornography, but how can any court convict the girl for taking pics of HERSELF? She will be charged with creating child pornography, and labeled a sex offender FOR LIFE. I suppose the 12 year old boyfriend will be charged with distributing child pornography and be labeled a sex offender FOR LIFE. His friends who bought the pics for $5 a pop will be charged with possession of child porn, and labeled FOR LIFE.

Did these people display HORRIBLE judgement? Undoubtedly. Should they be labeled criminals? Come on.... the second the law becomes an inflexible absolute, everyone's freedom is in danger.

I say knock it down to a charge of mischief each (misdemeanor), give them each a year's supervised probation plus maybe community service, during which time they are prohibited from owning/being in charge of a cellular phone with camera capability. Don't crucify them for what is really little more than a dumb mistake. Don't treat 12 year old kids like hardened pedophiles.

good grief ,. what a fuss about nothing,. polaroid camera's started this type of thing a long time ago,..pictures developed right on the spot, in private,.
Inappropriate behaviour, yes,. child porn? No,. meh,. drama by media,. all the uptight tongue clucking going on,. ppffffft,., sex,. pretty much what motivates the whole world. I feel sorry for the fools that paid $5 for something that they can get free off the internet. Pretty soon everybody will have a criminal record,. there's no policing or educating going on,. just law enforcement.
Do you really think dirty pictures are criminal activity in this case? Does this warrant a criminal record?
calm down people before your halo's choke you,.

I was in to child pornography back in the early 70's... I think it was fourth grade when one of the other kids in my class brought a Polaroid snap of his sister's, uh, frontal crack, lol. He took it with his Mickey Mouse Polaroid camera.

I think I should probably sue Disney for the mental anguish it has caused me over the years. $50M ought to make me feel better, ya think?
