Was it an hourly position? Usually these jobs are paid on trip pay unless you drive a microbulk truck.
Good luck! Where you going?

What I currently know about the valves.
Recirculation is for it to circulate through the trailer while cooling down.
Pressure raises the pressure.
Vent is to lower the pressure fastish. Like to drop it down from unload to travel pressure.
Road relief is to help keep pressure while driving.
Inlet cools the product.
Discharge is to send product through the hose or nothing if forget to connect a hose.
Top/bottom fill is to fill via top or bottom. Depends on customer.
Sample is for loading customer to keep a eye on product going in.
Think I got most of it. I think I'm close to being ok running solo. But I want to be 100% ok with it all. Because this type of work is dangerous. Also I was only listing what's on the trailer.surf_avenue, 77fib77, scythe08 and 1 other person Thank this. -
It was hourly pay. After I did the calculations, I was only going to make like no more than $200 per week. I'm staying where I'm at for now.77fib77, scythe08 and viper822004 Thank this.

Thinking about it. Only thing currently I think I need to get down. Is handling the pony motor. As in starting it up after flipping the clutch.
77fib77 Thanks this. -
Yup you about got it, except pump inlet allows liquid to enter pump and cool down before pumping.77fib77 Thanks this.

So after engaging clutch and raising RPMs (you should already have built some head pressure to help feed liquid to pump.) You start to close recirculation valve until your pump pressure is higher than customers tank then you can start to open discharge valve as you close customer bleed valve and open customers either top/bottom fill and then fully close recirculation and fully open discharge. Adjusting vessel pressure with pressure builder to keep pump from cavitation.77fib77, scythe08 and viper822004 Thank this.

Gotta say. Attempting to read what you said confuses me. Even after reading it multiple times. Will see tomorrow when I start back up again. Because like I said before. That's really the only part I don't have down. Also if throttle needs to be pushed or pulled.scythe08 Thanks this.

Yes cool for 10 minutes. Pump inlet open, recirculation open.scythe08 Thanks this.

Gotta love this industry.
Did 2 stops locally then headed down to NW Indiana to fill AR.
Had time to fill but after waiting and getting on the scale to fill operator says I need to wait 1 to 2 hours.
I ain't got time for that.
So head to hotel.
Come back this morning and control room tell me plant has issues, when don't they, ..and it will be 2 to 3 hours wait.
No problem.
Call dispatch and inform them at my 5 hours on duty mark I'm headed back to my barn. I am glad that we get compensated for the wait times.viper822004, snowbird_89, Gearjammin' Penguin and 4 others Thank this.
