Plane Hits & Kills Jogger while making emergency landing.

"Plane Hits, Kills Man on South Carolina Beach"

I should not have laughed when I heard this on the news last night, but for some reason, at that moment, it hit me so strangely I just laughed and laughed until tears were rolling down my face. It is truly tragic, but yet the irony of it all, the glarding example it gives about the randomness of life here on earth, was just too much not to stop and laugh at and release some tension.

This young man, in the prime of his life, goes out for a jog on a beautiful SC beach on an almost spring morning. He's jogging along, doing a healthy thing, listening to his Ipod and enjoying the beauty around him and WHAM he's hit from behind by an AIRPLANE and killed instantly. I can just see this guy getting to the pearly gates and saying "What happened to me?", being told, and going "HUH?!!!!" The irony of this is just too much. Who would ever think as you leave to go for a morning jog in God's beauty on the beach that your life would end by being hit by an airplane? It just goes to show you never know WHAT can happen to you, or when, or how. I shouldn't have laughed at the situation that caused the death of a young father of 2 children; however, if I ever get hit and killed by an airplane as I'm jogging on the beach......feel free to laugh. As my dad always used to say "Who would've thunk it?"

Yeah, when we heard this on the news yesterday, hubby was like "Well, I would have heard it coming and tried to get out of the way". Well.....okay....but the guy was listening to his Ipod? Couldn't hear it coming....and besides, no one EVER expects to get run over by a PLANE!!! A car, yes, a bus, yes....but not a plane!!

 

That's why I don't jog.

 

Not real safe to jog when using head phones.

People get hit on the road doing this too.


But, on a beach?

 

Ducks that is just harsh!!!! Funny as heck but harsh!!!

 

No mention of his nationality...so here goes...just can't resist;
