DOT Physical certification

    When i got my permit i had to bring my DOT Physical with me to the DMV so it could be scanned and put into the system. Do i need to bring the new DOT Physical i get every two years to the DMV to get updated every time or will it automatically be updated when i get the physical and just carry the papers with me? Thanks

    Every time you get a physical, you need to go to the DMV. I went to Avecina Medical in south Jacksonville, FL and was told that they soon will be in contact with DMV so the new med card can be attached to the license right then.

    In FL you can self certify online.. It’s quick and painless and usually it’ll be approved by the next day. My chiropractors office is right next to the DMV but it’s an absolute waste of time walking it in.

    I don’t know how other states handle it but Florida is easy peasy.
