A message for new drivers

Please read my whole diatribe. I'm done with you guys. We can agree to disagree.

 

The luckiest of drivers are not good, they are lucky! My remark wasn’t made to be snide it was my actual first thought after reading your question. So go ahead and explain haw the truck had any assemblence of right of way in this situation and I will force my big fat head to type an apology, give you my truck and pay a years insurance for you.!

 

You can bet on it the ones who are defending this type of driving behavior on the same ones, driving like a race track through a truckstop, parking lot and shippers a receiver, the same way… It’s time for a house cleaning in this industry,

 

Hold on there fellas. Nobody ever absolved the trucker from fault. He definitely made an error in judgment. The driver of the car should not be absolved from this either. She could have done some things differently, like say.....pay attention. Neither driver was paying attention. The car got on the brakes well after the truck was in the turn. The car could have even got around the truck on the shoulder, but she was not paying attention. Looking at the way the car was mangled, she was speeding.....quite frankly, these are things that her insurance may take into consideration to avoid paying out a claim. Crash avoidance is something that insurance companies pay attention to when it comes to whether they'll pay or not. Had she lived, I don't think it would've been a foregone conclusion that either insurance company would have paid. I can imagine that they would've had to go to court to settle this.

 

Pay attention all they want.. when an idiot pulls out in front of you with little to no warning, it’s the clown who made the illegal u turn 100% at fault..

 

They should administer an iq test when obtaining a drivers license especially a cdl..

 

Just a thought I'm thinking he/she actually forgot they were actually in a tractor trailer and thought they were just doing a u-turn in their car.

 

If that’s the case.. then that person doesn’t need a cdl.. ever

 

If they did that, there's a chance you wouldn't be driving...be careful what you wish for.....

 

You can not difinatively state speed based on damage. Cars today fold up in the lightest of accidents and I have seen plenty that surprised people when they found out the black box under the seat said it wasn’t speeding!
