I thought all HazMat loads were fuel, crude oil and stuff lol!
-
I thought that the Hazmat endorsement is the only one you have to renew every 2 years?
-
In Georgia -- yes, you have to take the test again.
In other states -- that may vary....but most likely, yes.
The test is really pretty easy. If you take some practice tests, and study the material -- you should do ok with it.
Hazmat makes it easier to get a job, too.

I renewed my cdl in Tennessee and don't recall ever having to do the hazmat over. When I moved to Nevada several years ago, still didn't have to renew the hazmat. Maybe that's changed now.
-
has to be renewed every 5 years now. both test and fingerprint/background check. At least in GA. other states may vary.Chinatown and slim shady Thank this.

-
it's not it's just paying the money for the fingerprint/background check again that gets most drivers irritated.

Cool, I guess I have to see how it is in Florida, is it a written test overall or does it depend on the state as well, I see answers that say it's a written test and others say it's a computer test.
-
You will probably find that it is a "multiple choice" answer test -- a question followed by 3 - 5 different possible answers -- select a, b, c, d (or e).
The test will likely be 20 - 25 questions like that.
Done via computer. Need 80% or better to pass.
Test is not a "written" or an "essay" type exam.
