I watch a lot of the ASP chase videos. I agree, for people who are supposed to be professional, they use some bad language. I'm no Holly Rolly but I just dont appreciate the foul language. But that's just me. I understand that today, its just part of peoples normal conversation.
If you wouldn't want your 3 year old grandaughter to say it.......

But someone that is supposed to be a person that is standing up for what's right... a person who is supposed to be setting an example, who is supposed to be respected by the community and they use that language? And especially the female troopers.

Ok I'm off my soap box now.

i think it was the adrenaline rush they were going thru as well.

deep down those cops knew it could have went badly in less than a heartbeat, for innocent people on the roads, and in the neighborhoods.

city cops around here use verbiage in line with the areas they cover.

state police are usually better mannered.

but the cops these days, human element comes thru, i think more these days, due to the boldness of the criminals

Yeah, I understand the frustration & adrenaline rush, but no matter how many of these things you watch, while in the pursuit, no matter how intense, they're calm, collected, focused & professional when they are talking to dispatch or calling the pursuit..... even at the point where the chase ends. But as soon as that driver door opens, so does his yelling, screaming & cussing.... slapping, hitting, punching & twisting limbs.
It goes from controlled to authoritarian just that quick.

I started out as a fire fighter, then fire dispatch, then police dispatch, police patrol & emergency medical. I been there. I've been in the intense situations. So don't say I ain't never been there. I have.

You learn to stay calm. You learn to deal with intense situations.
Its not always the adrenaline. Its the authoritarian aspect that your seeing.

I fully support law enforcement... I don't support the drama that goes with some of the officers.

Without a doubt the perp pissed those troopers off! They knew they had to get him off the road NOW,before innocent bystanders got injured or worse!
I’m sure they were also upset that at least two of the police interceptors were damaged in the chase and PIT maneuver! One of the interceptors that they put the suspect in had its grill guard bent forward in the video!

(in my best Morgan Freeman voice):
“It was at moment,he realized he f***** up!!”

Yeah, well I would submit that the cops put the innocent bystanders at more danger by following the guy at 110 MPH.
    Jus sayin......this was unnecessary.

Arkansas is one of the last states to still be able to be so reckless. Most departments are not allowed to put the general public in such danger anymore. They use air support to fill in the gaps. There are plenty of videos on YT showing how incredibly roque these ASP police are.

I saw one recently where he was driving on the wrong side of the road and even slid off into a mailbox post attempting to catch a speeder. They really need to reevaluate the risk versus reward here.

They knew who the dude was.......could have gone to his house

Little Rock, Arkansas — On May 20, 2023, at 3:21 p.m. Arkansas State Police Trooper Jackson Shumate initiated a traffic stop on a black GMC Sierra, at US Highway 67 South at the 3 mile marker along with Trooper T. Van Schoyck and Trooper A. Escamilla. The vehicle was known to be driven by 42-year-old Christopher Monroe. Arkansas State Police said before this chase, Monroe was already wanted for drug traffic charges out of Sherwoosasd, Arkan. On May 4th, 2023 he fled from ASP before doing the same on the 19th. Ten days prior, police in Rockwell County, Texas put out a warrant for his arrest for evading in a motor vehicle. Police attempted to box him in, bur failed and the chase was on. At one point early in the interaction Trooper T. Van Schoyck attempts to PIT the vehicle but ends up failing and sliding into a concrete barrier instead. Despite that failure to stop the vehicle, the police continue to chase Monroe as speeds climb. Monroe and the police cars following him cross over the Arkansas River going around 120 mph (193 km/h). Monroe then turns around and makes it only a few blocks before being hit from behind by police, which causes him to roll his truck. The GMC eventually hits a brick wall and comes to a stop on its wheels. Because of how forceful the crash is, the police car itself almost flips. Later, Monroe is removed from the car by police who had surrounded it. Police found 64 grams of ecstasy, 100 grams of meth, 436 grams of cocaine, 89 grams of fentanyl pills, 182 grams of marijuana, 12 grams of heroin, and 46 grams of Xanax. Along with a Taurus handgun and numerous drug paraphernalia, Monroe also had $8,612 in cash in the car. He was charged with trafficking fentanyl and cocaine, possession of narcotics and methamphetamine with intent to deliver, felony fleeing, simultaneous possession of drugs and a firearm, aggravated assault of law enforcement and criminal mischief.

Plenty bad man. BUT, no need to involve the motoring public.....jus sayin

I know that a police chase is controversial. I understand & respect everyone's thoughts.

I am one who supports a chase, catch the guy & apply serious consequences in court.
If a person runs, pursue until the first safe opportunity to put him into the ditch (or a wall or a tree) then arrest, get him/her off the street, in jail until he/she learns not to run from the police (like 5 years) and jeopardize the public's safety. I fully support a PIT at the first safe opportunity 100% of the time.
