Where is everyone #5

I consider myself fortunate that, with nominal extra cost, I was able to drive this cummins with a cracked head for a few months to accrue the funds necessary for replacement. Another week or two, though, and I might have been looking at a full rebuild. As it was, rod, cam and main bearings all needed replaced due to fuel wash. (The inside was nice and clean for the meckanick and he appreciated that. LoL)

 

Lost a good friend today, what the hell is going on, everyone is disappearing around us…

 

When the grease goes for a ride on the dozer and doesn’t find its way into a ditch.

There used to be a reefer outfit by the name of Dick Simon out of SLC. They got jammed up over something and got bought out, I think. Anyway, they had a skunk on the side of their trailers. I had forgotten all about them until today when a late model Simon trailer with a skunk on the side rolled by in front of the house. No Dick on the trailer just Simon and the skunk. Did I miss something along the way?

 

Ahhh good old “skunk truck”…

Them were the good ol days.

 

Maybe it’s time to jump into the Red W9 and take a little vacation
