Thats a fancy Lincoln Log set. I had the cheaper one that came out in the early ‘70’s.

We had a Hyundai that survived for 300k with three teenagers taking turns from high school then to college with it. It did the job well, rarely ever had problems and the problems it did have were easy and cheep to fix.

My wife had a 2002 Kia 4WD that spent most of it's life in Alaska. Was still going strong when we gave it to a friend. We recently were car shopping and didn't want to break the bank. Most of the new cars in my price range come with those new CVT transmissions that are having lots of problems. So we ended up buying a Kia Sportage with a regular auto trans for around $33k out the door. Has a 5 year/60,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty. 10 yr/100,000 mile on the engine and drive train.

My current car is a 2022 Hyundai Elantra N-Line. Set me back about $27K but it was worth it. Heated cloth seats,AM/FM/Sirius Satellite Radio, sport tuned suspension,1.6 liter turbocharged engine and best of all, the “millennial anti-theft device” (a.k.a. 6-speed manual transmission). Plus,as an added bonus, any Kia Boyz wannabes who think they can try to steal is going to regret it- 2022 model year Hyundais are equipped with tracking devices, plus my Elantra has a push button start!
So far I average between 33 mpg on the highway during the winter to up to 40 mpg on the highway during the summer! All I’ve had to do is regularly scheduled maintenance (oil changes, fluids and mechanical inspections-the only recall the car has had pertained to the seat belt tensioners and that was covered under warranty).

We’ll mine is a 16 and the boys in hood smashed a side window and butchered the steering column to the tune of over 2k damage. Then they realized it was a standard and left it……

Glass was back ordered 3 weeks…..

That’s because yours was a 2016,that’s one of the model years they’re targeting.
IIRC model years 2013 to 2021 are the prime targets. Hyundai started putting immobilizers in on 2022 model year cars, right about when the Kia Boyz issue came to a head!
Plus where I live it’s sparsely populated (for all intents and purposes) and about 1/3 of my neighbors work for the state government (state police). You don’t come here looking for trouble unless you have a death wish!lol
