    Probably needs new lock rod bushings then. Still cheap and easy. Can you move the lock rod around?

    Look at the rod holders, there are 3 of them I believe. Top, middle and bottom. Inside the rod holder there are plastic bushings. You need to replace them to get rid of the slack and make the door seal contact firmly with door frame
