According to industry analysts we are experiencing a freight drought combined with a massive surplus of capacity right now. That is putting rates in the toilet and making it difficult to find loads at all. Most loads jump off of the boards within minutes of posting and loads offering a decent rate are gone in just moments after posting. Good luck to you!

Freight goes up and down all the time this one’s worse because we have an oversupply of capacity since everyone and their momma wanted to become a truck driver or invest in making a trucking company. Freight dried up all about surviving the bloodbath. If your equipment is paid off and you have low overheads you’ll more likely to survive.Vampire, Shanebklyn and Rideandrepair Thank this.

Yes not a good time to be an O/O thats for sure sometimes one has to ask if it is a plan by the big companies to put the small operator out of business, they are always competing against one another as well, I've seen large companies reduce rates just to win a contract even if it meant running at a loss. Like any commodity market its about supply and demand, at the moment we have an oversupply of drivers, trucks, which puts down demand which will reduce costs, once that equals out or once demand increases this will all end, but who knows when that will happen?

OP has not been back online since making this post. Perhaps they signed on with Amazon and are now making gazillions pulling light freight
across Wyoming. -
