The area that I live in could use a handyman or 3. All the little stuff I don’t feel like doing like some drywall work and stuff I can’t find anyone because if it’s not new construction nobody is interested. So then I end up grumpy because I have to tape and mud and sand drywall and that is right near the top of stuff I hate doing.

 

I'm simply calling it how it is. You need to get your control issues in check. Now, move on with your life and stop trying to control mine.

Never been in a cattle pot but watched that video of the guy loading buffalo in one and thought f that, that is not on my list to try.

 

There’s plenty of work out here. Maybe not OTR Van freight. It’s probably the most saturated because of the recent newbies. They’re easy to spot. Just look around. Lot of them. The work I’m doing now is still slow from the strike. Still it’s running steady. Plenty of Carriers, plenty of Factories, Warehouses are all working steady. Most getting OT. The idea that there’s no Manufacturing here anymore is simply not true. Maybe a lot less due to foreign competition and automation. Still enough that they can’t find enough Workers. I applied to 5 different Companies. All but one offered immediate employment. Dayton Freight was the exception. They’re only hiring in other cities supposedly. I suspect my age is the real reason.
