1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

I am having the same problem. Have 8 years experience but havent been in the seat in 8 years. It seems the truck companies prefer somone just out of 3 weeks of training to someone with experience and a good record

    Prof.Gringo and ironhand Thank this.

    I would've called but:

    1) I'm in NW PA. Hometime would probably be a problem, yeah?

    2) I don't think I'm allowed in Canada. I have a supplying alcohol misdemeanor (I was 19 at the time) conviction.

    3) I'm planning on starting college (pending acceptance) in August. I'm guessing you are looking for a driver for more than 6 months.

This is why I haven't responded. Sorry.

....the question is, what are the names of these companies that are small, and at what percentage is their turnaround rates, or is it just easier to find a small company and hope that you're lucky that day

    Post BUMP!

Any other trucking companies? Which outfits would give somebody a chance?

What about smaller outfits? Just knock on some doors?
